Korean men usually have to serve the army for 2 years. At the age of 20 years old, they have to make up their mind to take that compulsory service because we still remain divided into two nations. I was supposed to get there but my case was a bit special. I didn't service the army but instead, I took time off from university and I entered an entitled company that would need someone like me who could work with less salary and worked for as long as it was equal to the military duty. Of course, it was a good opportunity for me and I was able to get a lot of work experience for my young age at that time. It’s mandatory for men to serve in the army within the duration of two years. I really don't like the type of working from home. One of the things I have missed out on is the time on the subway during my commute. The time to and fro in total is almost more than an hour. During the time I usually study English or do something I really have to do urgently. I don't want to drive to work anymore. I really want to get on the subway again. I never had a preference for having to work from home. One of the things I’ve been longing for is the budgeted free time of taking the subway to go to work. The time to and fro lasts for almost more than an hour. I spend that time efficiently, out of my own accord, for matters like studying English or doing something I really have to deal with urgently. I no longer want to drive to work given the inefficiency of it. If possible to achieve within the soonest, I really want to get on the subway again.
